Bespoke top from Icelandic reindeer leather. Custom made for Rún Árnadóttir, cellist of the experimental post-punk band, Virgin Orchestra.
This bespoke linen dress I made for my sister was inspired by a vintage red linen dress our mom purchased on her travels around Europe in the 1990´s.
Custom made spandex bodysuit and mesh top for artist Yuliana Palacios’ installation “Hér ég heima” (e. Here is my home) at Reykjavík Arts Festival.
I designed this jumpsuit with comfort in mind, featuring an elastic back and a front zipper for easy on and off. The fabric is a light, breathable blend of linen, lyocell, and cupro. This bespoke piece was made using a pattern I drew up from her measurements, though I didn’t get the chance to have her try it on until it was finished. Fortunately, it ended up fitting her splendidly, no need for alterations.
This piece I made for a member of the choir Hymnodia for their collaborative concert with the viking /folk metal band Skálmöld. The concert took place at the renowned Harpa concert hall in Reykjavík in November 2024. This is my interpretation of a kilt and was made from second-hand fabric that had been tucked away under my bed, waiting for the perfect project. I carefully measured and planned the pleats to fit the pattern, making sure to maximize the use of my limited fabric. While I drew inspiration from some kiltmakers on YouTube, I had to adapt traditional methods to work with the fabric I had, finding my own solutions along the way.
